Ruth Soller » Twilight in Rocky Mountain National Park

We recently shared a family vacation in Rocky Mountain National Park. I was eager to photograph this scene of the headwaters of the Colorado River at sunset. A magical glow from the setting sun cast yellow rays between mountain ridges and created orange edges around distant pines. The flowing curves of the river inspired this calming and peaceful composition. Listen carefully for the gurgling of the river as it passes below you.
