Ruth Soller » Apocalypse Cloudscape

This is the second painting in my new series of Abstracted Cloudscapes. This painting was inspired by a sunrise photograph I took in January 2020. I found the cloud formation foreboding, as if an unknown threat was rapidly descending upon us. How true this feeling turned out to be. Examining my collection of cloudscape photos taken during 2020 and before, I selected a group which portrayed a variety of emotions to me.
