The Russell Museum events offer a broad and sometimes bold palette, including Ennis artist Bern Sundell's acrylic, "The Believer," to Colorado painter Ruth Soller's "Lower Falls of the Yellowstone," and Missoula artist Julie Chapman's "Harmony," all of which will be offered at this evening's silent auction sale at the museum. The Russell live auction Saturday night also features some colorful pieces, giving bidders a chance to brighten up a wall if they are not overcome by the boldness of it all.

As an artist myself, I can see why Ruth's creations are so inspiring. Reminding me of what truly great art can be, achieving one's own muse in the form of paint can be attributed to the natural world and the elements which become not only part of the piece, but of us as well. Ruth's paintings are a reminder of just how grand the world is.

John,

Thank you so much for the thoughtful comments, I'm glad that my paintings are meaningful to you.
