DENVER, CO (December 4, 2011)- Ruth Soller will exhibit her “Italy and Southwest Scenes” oil paintings at the Garfield Estates Vineyard and Cottonwood Cellars tasting room at Colorado Winery Row, 4640 Pecos Street Unit H in Denver, Colorado from December 2, 2011 through January 26, 2012. Public Opening Reception with the artist will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday, December 4th and will include light refreshments and select wine for sale by the glass or by the bottle.

“I’m excited to show together for the first time my complete series of Italy and Southwest Scenes and think that this partnership with Colorado Winery Row is ideal as two of my Italy paintings portray vineyards and olive groves of the Tuscany region,” said Ruth of her exhibition of twenty-four original paintings. Carol Carr, owner of Garfield Estates, had a vision to pair fine wines with fine art to offer an outstanding experience to wine club members and guests during bi-monthly artist Opening Reception and Wine Tasting events.

• Garfield Estates wines are European in style — crisp Fume Blanc, silky Cabernet Franc, robust Syrah —and have been singled out by the New York Times and “Bon Appétit” for quality. Garfield Estates even offers a couple of dessert wines for your sweet tooth — ice-wine and Chocolate Port. But make no mistake, dry whites and complex reds are the heart of this Palisade, CO-based vineyard and winery.

• Established in 1994, Cottonwood Cellars (AKA:  The Olathe Winery) produces 18 premium wines made from Colorado grapes, most of which are grown in its Olathe, CO vineyards at 5,400 feet above sea level.  Cottonwood is known for the world-class quality of their red wines, which are oak barrel-aged from one to two years and bottle-aged for over one year. They also make superior German-style white wines and blushes. This Old World-style family winery invites you to taste the quality of well-crafted, high-altitude Colorado wine.

Ruth Soller is a Denver Metro oil painter of Western landscapes, architecture, and portraits. Her oil paintings “Black Canyon of Gunnison” and “Cache de Poudre” were exhibited in the Creative Capitol Metro Denver Exhibition at Denver International Airport. “Black Canyon of Gunnison” was exhibited in the Salmagundi Club New York and published in the 2010 American Art Collector book by Alcove Books of Berkeley, California. Ruth is represented by Gallery East in Loveland, Colorado. View Ruth’s work at http://www.SollerOriginals.com.
